Holy lettuce update Batman…
The downstairs lettuce that I was leaving pretty much to itself and has already suffered a host of setbacks has finally had the last laugh!
Whilst the upstairs lettuce has withered and almost died thanks to neglect (I’ll post about that later) the downstairs plants have absolutely thrived and now they have three large healthy ready for the next salad.
We have had a bit of rain of late so they certainly haven’t been wanting for liquid but I haven’t paid them any attention either so obviously it goes to show that if you’re going to neglect your plants at least leave them somewhere they can still get hit by the rain.
Mind you, not neglecting them will probably work too.

My lettuce has bolted and has now got a 60cm stalk coming out of it. I’m waiting to see if it flowers. I’ve never seen a lettuce flower before.
