Update on the Cherry Tomatoes
I read somewhere that 90% of all home veggie patches in Australia have a tomato bush in it. Now I don’t know how accurate that figure is but I pretty confident that it’s close to being right! I have four cherry tomato bushes myself and now I’m wishing I had a full sized one too as Tracey and I are beginning to really enjoy cheese and tomato sandwiches.
Even though they are probably too small for my sandwiches I’m pretty pleased to announce that two of the bushes are already bearing fruit and it shouldn’t be too long before I’m enjoying a salad consisting of lettuc, watercress and cherry tomatoes. We’ll possibly have some mustard sprouts to join them as long as I can get my act together and plant them soon.

I f I start to get inundated with cherry tomatoes (yeah like that’ll be a problem) I’m going to dehydrate some in the oven at a very low temperature and store some in a jar with some herbs and olive oil. Should be an interesting experiment.
So now I guess I’m in the mood to watch some tomato related movie. Fried Green Tomatoes…? Nah I don’t think so. Maybe Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is more up my alley.

It’s really terrible to admit this considering that I’m such a connoisseur of b grade films but I’ve never actually sat through Attack or Revenge of the Killer Tomatoes. I love the title though.
