And the hits just keep on coming
I was going to show you a photo of the capsicum plant flowering. It was pretty exciting for me becuase it was going to be a nice quick result. However the great pumpkin of the universe and a dog named Baxter have put an end to that. I thought I’d have more trouble with the birds but no I have a vegetarian wannabe dog wandering around nibbling the plants.

He ate half of the capsicum and several lettuce leaves. He is quite literally in the doghouse which is a shame because he was my little helper when I watered and planted the plants. He just took it a little too far.
I’ve accepted it all now as there was next to no damage to the lettuces and the capsicum will grow back bushier thanks to his pruning.
Actually in some good news tomorrow we plan to harvest the first fruits of my labours. The lettuce plants are all at a size now where I need to start trimming leaves from them. We plan on egg and lettuce sandwiches and next week we may have them in tacos. Nothing better in tacos than fresh baby lettuce leaves!
Also the peas are growing nicely up the wire frame and tomatoes are staked and almost double their size now.
