And the lettuce updates just keep on coming
Stupid mistake.
Forgot to water the lettuce seedlings and it’s still fairly hot in the middle of the day. I nearly lost 95% of them. A quick water and they all come back with only the loss of a couple of leaves. Could have been a lot worse.
Lost one of the downstairs seedlings to the birds. It was the smallest and sickest so whilst it’s annoying I’m willing to cut my loses with it.

Inspired by your lettuce soap opera I went out and bought my own seedlings this afternoon. Also planted up my runner beans that I’d started off on the windowsill.
I’m getting a little obsessive about this whole gardening thing. perhaps I should start another blog too.
